Marching for justice since 1983.
Racism is often a matter of life or death for the people experiencing harm. Medical practitioners take an oath that stretches back hundreds of years in which they vow to, "...abstain from all intentional wrongdoing and harm." Malpractice is defined as the, "improper, illegal, or negligent professional activity or treatment, especially by a medical practitioner." When racism prevents a medical practitioner from fulfilling their oath, it is racial malpractice.
Sankofa Impact confronts our shared history of racism and resistance by bringing people together for place-based learning experiences. We offer a range of immersive experiences intended to increase awareness of events that have both shaped and disrupted systems of racism and oppression in the United States. Our programs are designed to inspire action through impactful experiences and proximate conversations.
